Padres y Jóvenes Unidos is a grassroots, parent- and student-led organization which was founded in 1992. Padres y Jóvenes Unidos’ education work has grown from addressing injustices against immigrant students at individual schools within the Denver Public School system to affecting broad, systemic change in policy and practice at district, state, and national levels. Our work addresses the intersection of educational justice and immigrant rights based on the principle that education is a human right for all people, regardless of immigration status.
